About METAFIZIQ recordings:
Metafiziq
recordings is a new label established in East Europe – Bulgaria, by Valeri Sholevski aka. OGONEK (http://www.myspace.com/ogonek ) and
Danail Iliev aka. Mad Twist (http://www.myspace.com/madtwistdnb
). OGONEK is a part of Hard Music
and Sounds United (HMSU) (http://www.hmsu.org) - the biggest
drum and bass formation in Bulgaria . HMSU has organized more than 150 successful
events and hosted some of the greatest talents of the worldwide drum and bass
scene. In the past OGONEK started together with COOH (Offkey,
Position Chrome) under the name OGONEK & COOH, strongly involved into the drum and bass style
as a producer he made 5 bootlegs and a lot of collabs with COOH, this placed
really important point on the dnb stage in Bulgaria. OGONEK played on more than
200 gigs and now has 5 releases in HMSU net label (http://www.hmsu.net
) with over 5000 downloads each...
The
purpose of METAFIZIQ
recordings is to provide fresh air to the music made by young talents who are in the shadow,
deserves
to be turned into vinyl relief. We trust in the vinyl because if one day the electricity in all over the world
stops, we can continue to listen vinyls
on the old horn gramophones.
METAFIZIQ
recordings has a strong concept, expressed through
metaphysical philosophy
- one of the reason that we are making our release artworks unique – namely our
artwork cover is created in a dark laboratory with real chemicals, using the method of photograms. (The photogram represents a unique art
form requiring only the action of light on a photosensitive substrate without
using a camera. The imagery is created using traditional silver-gelatin black
and white materials. This method of imaging is perhaps most prominently
attributed to Man Ray and his exploration of rayographs. Others who have experimented
with the technique include Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Christian Schad, Imogen
Cunningham and even Pablo Picasso. Actually some of the first known
photographic images made were photograms.)

KIGAMI - Pavel

Born on
30.07.1985 in Sofia(Bulgaria). His first steps in music start at 6 years of age
when he started playing piano. First experiments were with his friends at home
or in studios, playing mostly punk and hardcore.
Kigami
starts his trip to electronic music at age of 16 when he made his first
computer tune. After that he seriously got involved into computer synthesized
music and started experimenting in lots of electronic styles such as DNB, IDM,
Ambient, Breakbeat, Jazz, Industrial, Trip-Hop etc. Feeling the need to share
his production with more people, he met Martin Qnkov aka Brokoli (Remurder) and
both got involved into many underground gigs and performances. At 19 as a
cofounder of Remurder crew, Kigami met Dragomir Taskov (Digital soul). They
both got separated from Remurder and started producing DNB and DJing at various
gigs of the major Bulgarian crews like H.M.S.U and Drumrollers, with some of
the biggest names in DNB scene. In 2005 HMSU releases a bootleg CD with tunes
from Bulgarian dnb producers Ogonek [BG], Cooh[BG], Digital Soul [BG], Kigami
[BG], Kink [BG]: Kigami - jihat and Kigami - Very Angry.
Not long
ago Kigami & Digital Soul[K.ID.S.], Ogonek & Cooh[OiC], as a lead
Bulgarian producers, formed together a new project called Scrotumix: Army Of In
Between - Ocean Of Serpents (Skrotumix
RMX).
Digital Soul & Kigami have number of supports and participations with
international Dj guests, Raiden [UK], Noisia [NL], Gridlok [USA], Kano[UK],
Psychofreud [NOR], Evol Intent [USA], Current Value [GER], Dieselboy [USA],

scene. Together with Formation Records, HMSU presented to the Bulgarian massive
the well-known brand "World Of Drum and Bass". HMSU guests are some of the most popular and respected
artists in this area”
During
6 years playing on guitar in his own metal and punk projects Valeri Sholevski
(born in Sofia, Bulgaria - 1981) started to travel deep into the electronic
sound and techno logies...
In 2000 under the name Invitro and Under Construction he produced a lot of
break beat, idm, funk tunes using sounds from oldskul classical records.
In 2001 he joined the organization "Art Place", (organization which
unites underground electronic art and culture. Then he had made the first step
on the scene b2b with Dj Hydrashock from Digital Nightmares DNB organization.
His production became unique with the drum and bass sound which he promotes
under the name Ogonek. The same year with a group of young music producers and
engineers with an unique creative expertise in music and technology he created
a label, audio production and promoting agency found in 2001 in Sofia under the
Porno BPM.
In 2002 came out the 1st Porno BPM (pbpm.net) promo CD with author tracks
including the tunes Ogonek (Valeri Sholevski born in 1981) -
"Wien02", "Chicken Heads [FF ver.]"
Then he met COOH (Ivan Shopov) and
together they started to play in a deep basement clubs performing their music
almost like jam sessions with a lot of live muscians.In those days they were
plaiyng live with the bands Ambient Anarchist [BG] and the band now known as
Oditory Ossicles. Consequently Ogonek & Cooh put out tagarage bootlegs: ogonek
& cooh - "Fem'02"- Bootleg CD (2002) ogonek & cooh -
"Sick of Amen" - Bootleg CD (2002) ogonek & cooh -
"Beauty" - Bootleg CD (2002) ogonek & cooh - "Drum And Bass

This made them popular outside Bulgaria and Ogonek had been involved in the
compilation "SKR001CD Various Artists - Eastern Sound Architects vol. 1:
East-European Drum'n'Bass" released by SoundKraft Recordings - Romania
with the tune : Ogonek - We'v Lost (SoundKraft Rec). Later he played in one of
the most famous club - Fleda in Chechz Republic. Also in France and Romania...
In 2005 the label Porno BPM(Bulgaria) released
the two versions of the track "Dancing In The Rain" made it by Ogonek
& Cooh feat. Megi: Ogonek & Cooh - Dancing In The Rain (Version 1)

The same year the HMSU Drum And Bass organization (Bulgaria) (www.hmsu.org - Bulgaria)
put out a promo - compilation with Bulgarian author tracks by Digital Soul (BG) , Kigami (BG) , Kink (BG) as well as
Ogonek, Cooh: ogonek - Mashinite (The Machines) ogonek - Sleep And Listen In
(in the dark)
Ogonek intensively entered the sphere of video montage and visualizations as in
the middle of 2005 he produced the 1st video clip of OIC - "Let the music
play" . By being put for free download the video gained popularity and
success in the drum and bass society. At the end of 2005 OIC released the video
of "Scared Of Dark" tune, vocally performed by the vocalist of the
Neo Metal group Kuln
